According to a recent Billboard report, Future has earned his 11th No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart with Mixtape Pluto, his third album release of 2024. The album moved an impressive 129,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. during its first week of release.
At 40 years old, Future has set a new record as the first rapper to achieve three chart-topping albums in just six months, a feat no other solo artist has accomplished. Earlier this year, he scored two No. 1 albums with his collaborative projects with Metro Boomin, titled We Don’t Trust You and We Still Don’t Trust You, released on March 22 and April 12, respectively.
Future Joins Distinguished List of Artists With Most No. 1s
With his 11th No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart, Future Hendrix now shares the fifth spot for the most No. 1 albums with artists like Eminem, Ye, Bruce Springsteen, and Barbra Streisand. The Beatles hold the record with an impressive 19 No. 1 albums, followed by Jay-Z and Taylor Swift with 14 each, and Drake with 13 chart-toppers.
On Sunday (Sept. 29), Future took to his Instagram story to express his shock and gratitude for achieving three No. 1 albums this year. He shared a black-and-white photo of himself with the caption: “Ooh S**t! 3 #1s Is Krazy Work!” Future also gave a shoutout to producer Southside for his role as Executive Producer on Mixtape Pluto.
