The Rogue Prince of Persia: Second Act Update

The Rogue Prince of Persia’s latest update, Second Act, has finally arrived, bringing with it a host of new features and improvements. Ubisoft has officially dubbed it the “biggest update since launching in early access on Steam and GeForce back in May 2024”.

Enhanced Artwork and Color Palette

Players can look forward to upgraded artwork and a revamped color palette in this update. The wartime city of Ctesiphon has been brought to life with these changes. Additionally, the Prince has undergone a significant transformation, with his color changing from purple to a tone that better aligns with the new direction of the game and the Prince of Persia series as a whole.

Despite the color change, the “Purple Prince” will still be playable through a set of upcoming skins.

New Features and Improvements

With the Second Act update, players can explore new biomes such as the Mines and the Craftsmen’s District, face off against new bosses, and experience a fresh narrative act. Act 1 has also received extensive polish. Additionally, players can expect new enemies to encounter and various quality-of-life additions, including difficulty re-balancing, multiple save slots, and automatic pick-up of spirit cinder and gold.

This update also includes localization in German, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish.

“I think it works because the game has a charismatic star,” Chris Donlan wrote of The Rogue Prince of Persia. “Not charismatic in what he says, perhaps, but in what he does and how he moves. I just love to watch him run.”
