Can you imagine Virgin River without the excitement of wedding dramas, complicated love triangles and hidden secrets coming to light?
The recently unveiled trailer for the popular Netflix series’ sixth season offers a glimpse into the preparations for the big wedding day of Mel (Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack (Martin Henderson), as well as fresh narratives for their friends and family.
“I feel like the most fortunate girl in the world, ready to trust in forever once more,” Breckenridge expresses in the trailer. “I’ve lived through years of wishing things hadn’t unfolded as they did. But sometimes, the conclusion of one love tale can be the inception of another.”
“Set against the heartwarming spring wedding season of Mel and Jack, the sixth season brings new twists and turns, intensifying love triangles, delightful wedding drama, and revelations from Mel’s father’s past that take us back to the enchanting and mystical Virgin River of the 1970s,” according to the show’s synopsis.
“This season had to be about the wedding,” reveals showrunner Patrick Sean Smith about the anticipated season. “The time was right. It seemed like the perfect event to build the season around, so everyone had ample time and thought to plan… The production felt very much like Virgin River — the aspiration of it, and that we’re a small team who deeply care about something: the fans. So we put our heart and soul into making it happen.”
The star-studded cast also includes Tim Matheson, Annette O’Toole, Colin Lawrence, Benjamin Hollingsworth, Zibby Allen, Sarah Dugdale, Marco Grazzini, Kai Bradbury, Kandyse McClure, and Mark Ghanime. The list of executive producers also features Smith, Sue Tenney, Amy Palmer Robertson, Roma Roth, Christopher E. Perry, Robyn Carr, Erin Cardillo, and Richard Keith.
