Wordle displays six rows of five boxes each day, and your task is to guess which five-letter word is hidden by eliminating or confirming the letters it contains.
Start with a mighty word e.g., LEASH – something with lots of vowels, common consonants, and no repeated letters – is a good place to start. When you press Enter, the fields will show which letters are correct and which are incorrect. If the box turns ⬛️, it means that this letter is not in the secret word at all. 🟨 means the letter is in the word but not in that position. 🟩 means you have the right letter in the right place.
Your second attempt should complete the starting word, using another “good” guess to cover up any common letters you missed last time, while also trying to avoid letters you now know are not present in today’s answer. Then all you need to do is exploit what you’ve learned to narrow down your guesses to the right word. You have a total of six tries and can only exploit real words (so you don’t have to fill in the EEEEE fields to see if there’s an E there). Don’t forget that letters can also be repeated (e.g. BOOKS).
