The story, based on Matthew Quirk’s novel, revolves around Peter Sutherland, a low-ranking FBI agent working night shifts for a covert White House organization known as Night Action. His commendable bravery in rescuing the president earned him a promotion to Night Agent by the season’s end. However, as the new trailer reveals, a mission outside of Washington, D.C. has made him a marked man yet again.
The gripping trailer for the upcoming 10-episode season was unveiled during the NFL’s Ravens vs. Texans game on Christmas, broadcasted live on Netflix.
The preview sets the stage for a thrilling new season where Peter has disappeared after discovering a treacherous mole within the CIA. This mole is selling American intelligence to the highest bidder, and a stash of weapons large enough to decimate Manhattan is now in the wrong hands. Peter finds solace and trust in his love interest Rose (Luciane Buchanan) from the first season but ultimately decides to go rogue in a bid to save the nation.
