Diablo 4 is currently free on Steam until Tuesday, August 27. The free trial also coincides with a hefty 40% discount on the standard edition of the game. In addition to all the gameplay, system, and mechanic changes Diablo 4 has received over the past few months, the timing of this trial is particularly good for another reason.
The trial runs concurrently with the Mother’s Blessing event, which increases XP chance by 35% and gold chance by 50%. The event was initially plagued with bugs, but Blizzard later fixed them, so you can participate without worrying that the bonuses won’t count.
Upcoming Events in Diablo 4
For even more loot showers, Blizzard has also decided to bring back March of the Goblins, another in-game event that everyone loves. Unfortunately, this event won’t start until after the Free Weekend and Mother’s Blessing have ended.
March of the Goblins, as its name suggests, increases the number of Treasure Goblins in the game and increases the chances of players encountering them. Don’t be surprised if you see two or three of them at the same time. You’ll also come across more Greed Shrines, and you’ll even see a ton of these bugs after killing Avarice the Gold-Cursed World Boss.
The Goblin March will begin on August 27 and will be available online until September 3. There will be more goblins to encounter throughout the week.
