In a special treat for fans, Bill Bellamy and Rocsi Diaz have been confirmed as the hosts for the annual “Super Bowl Soulful Celebration.” The event is a unique blend of music and NFL tributes, unified through the inspiring theme “Keep Going” during Super Bowl LIX week.
26 Years and Counting
The event, now in its 26th year, will take place at the esteemed Mahalia Jackson Theater for the Performing Arts in New Orleans. Scheduled to air on Fox on February 8, the primetime special will also be accessible on Hulu, Tubi, Fox Sports, and the Fox Soul streaming platform. Fox is set to broadcast the NFL’s championship game the following day, February 9.
Returns to the Heart of the Celebration
Speaking on the occasion, Melanie Few, founder and executive producer of the celebration, expressed her overwhelming gratitude. “As we celebrate the 26th year of the Super Bowl Soulful Celebration as an official NFL sanctioned event, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the journey that has brought us here. The special will showcase performances from a variety of artists including Yolanda Adams, Lucky Daye, the Isley Brothers, Tori Kelly, Muni Long, Jonathan McReynolds, Big Freedia, Master P, Trombone Shorty, and the NFL Players Choir.

Michael Strahan, “Good Morning America” co-anchor and former NFL player, will be awarded the Lifetime of Inspiration Award. The Community Award will be presented to Cameron Jordan of the New Orleans Saints, while Los Angeles Rams player Jared Verse will be honored with the Rising Star Award.

Leon Knoles will be at the helm of the event as the director and showrunner. The executive production team includes Valarie Benning Thompson and Melanie Few. The music direction for the celebration will be handled by Adam Blackstone.
