MSI RTX 5070 TI Gaming Trio OC Review

Published:

Is this because there is no edition of the RTX 5070 Ti founders? Is this why seemingly every manufacturer Green Earth decided to hand over the middle finger to PC players and glue another 200 USD+ to the original MSRP NVIDIA for the card? I will equalize with you, this is something that I simply will not be able to bypass this review MSI RTX 5070 TI Trio OC Plus: Its price.

With NVIDIA promising USD 749 for RTX 5070 TI for CES this year we were all very content that it would represent the price of previous RTX 4070 Ti/Super cards, and impressed Blackwell GeForce GPU as RTX 5080.

Personally, I was even more excited by a card after I saw how much the supercourse was in this GPU. But although this was born in my original RTX 5070 Ti review – with 3.2 GHz+ it is basic to achieve, providing almost RTX 5080 at the frame level at the RTX level – warning flags have already begun to be raised on the pole long before the release.

I was hoping that early card offers were either substitute prices or straightforward errors, and initially it seemed that in this way from my conversations about the card with NVIDIA representatives. Although they could not comment on specific examples, I was told that most offers were only substitute symbols and would be updated just before starting.

Then I heard the exact prices from the retailers, which they will really charge, and finally, both Asus and MSI told me how much they would charge fees for various cards outside the Ministry of IK.

And it all smells. Bad. Like true Sorry for MEJ-GUTS-BO-BEEN-SUBSISTING-ON-TACEL-BELIDLE-SOLIDLY-Nine weeks-Rales bad.

This MSI RTX 5070 TI TI TRIO OC Plus card is 970 USD. At best, without a guarantee that retailers will not decide to exceed their own MSRP MSI to pre -paid. This is at least USD 221 more than MSRP NVIDIA established when it was announced, and simply not bad MSRP RTX 5080. And there is no reason why I see that it justifies an additional price in relation to something like MSI RTX 5070 Ti Ventus 3x 3x 3x that I reviewed and promised was Version at MSRP level.

There is no other reason than the raging price of the price and the offensive overdue capitalism. It is not about MSI, so we can not just blame it for using the expected shortage of the action, raising the prices so offensive. AIB know that so that it doesn’t matter what I am talking about here, that, however, many people are postponed by the brutal costs of the card, there will that they can sell them for even more or because they will pay practically everything for the up-to-date RTX 50 series card.

So what attracts you nearly $ 1,000, in addition to the growing taste of yellow at the back of the throat? Well, you get a GPU, which is clocked … Wait for it … at 2572 MHz. Yes, full 90 MHz higher than RTX 5070 Ti Ventus 3x. Although, as we know, these numbers of clock clock are relatively irrelevant in the face of vigorous clock speeds, especially in the case of how Blackwell is able to tune up the performance up and down, so damn.

Which means that we should look at what clock speeds look like when relative cards are stressed in the game. It turns out that during my tests, starting our test of extreme conditions Metro Exodus is only Delta 7 MHz between them. Apparently, the MSRP card goes to 2692 MHz, and the game trio goes 2699 MHz.

But what about the imitation? Certainly there is a more pricey card, with a more stronger cooling board and fancy RGB, can give themselves a name? And yes, it’s still a great graphic processor. In this chip GB203 it turns out that there are as many heads of GB203 games as in Ventus 3X; It was not fuchs or victory in a silicon lottery. But that’s just a thing: it’s the same.

I couldn’t push the card further than the MSRP version. I wondered if with a limit of power unlocked for this card – determining the graphic processor at +110% – I would actually be able to run with a stable shift of +475 MHz, something that Ventus 3x could almost, But not quite, do.

Without bones. Everything above the same +450 MHz and Overclock ultimately fails, and the whole system falls over when it is stressed by a relatively miniature time.

So there is no longer excessive efficiency, and between two cards there is not even one percentage difference when it comes to actual game performance. What boils down to – and what a faint choice of words is – it is cooling. The more pricey RTX 5070 Ti Trio OC Plus is able to run the GPU, in the game, with an average temperature by three degrees with a goal of Celsius lower than Ventus 3x. And its peak temperature is some four lower steps.

It’s $ 55.25 for a rank, people. This is what will buy your Trio Gaming Trio Premium.

Okay, it’s not completely fair. The card has a still switch that offers a double BIOS function to better run the card. Strangely enough, it works at the same clock speed, only with a quieter operation, and my tests showed that it works cooler with subsequent degrees, with the same game performance. It’s a win, right? Although the differences are so minimal that they probably depend on the natural variance of testing. Still, it’s quieter. A bit.
