Keywords Studios revealed today its intention to acquire Certain Affinity, a renowned game co-development studio known for its work on popular titles such as Halo, Hogwarts Legacy, and Call of Duty. The undisclosed sum transaction will see Certain Affinity’s talents integrated into Keywords’ Create division, with CEO Max Hoberman and his team remaining at the helm post-acquisition.
Expanding Horizons
Certain Affinity, boasting a team of over 180 employees across two locations, is actively engaged in multiple projects, including the co-development of Exodus with Archetype Entertainment. The impact on these projects post-acquisition remains uncertain. This move marks Keywords’ second game studio acquisition this year, in addition to several others in recent years such as Wushu Studios, The Multiplayer Group, and Fortyseven Communications.
