A$AP Twelvyy Testifies at A$AP Rocky Trial
On Friday (Feb. 7), A$AP Rocky’s gun assault trial continued in Los Angeles court. After the prosecution rested its case, Rocky’s defense team called on Twelvyy to testify. Twelvyy was present on the afternoon of Nov. 6, 2021, when Relli claims Rocky shot Relli following a confrontation in a parking garage in Hollywood, California. During his testimony, Twelvyy supported Rocky’s attorney’s argument that Rocky only had a prop gun that night.
“[Rocky] walked around with a prop gun. Like a starter pistol, like a prop gun, as his defense,” Twelvyy told the jury.
Twelvyy explained that he had seen Rocky with the prop gun on several occasions, including during a video shoot in the Bronx in July 2021. He described the scene as a private setting with props to create a movie-like atmosphere.
Twelvyy also stated that a month before the encounter with Relli, he saw Rocky with the prop gun again. He mentioned that Rocky opted for a prop gun instead of hiring security due to COVID-19 concerns.
During the altercation with Relli, Twelvyy recounted how Relli grabbed Rocky, prompting Rocky to pull out the prop gun and fire it towards the ground to scare Relli away.
