Are you a fan of Manchester duo Autechre? If so, you’re in for a treat! The duo has recently released 12 new live recordings from their sets spanning 2023-2024, titled AE_LIVE 2022. These recordings are now available via Warp and were a surprise release on Autechre’s official website on November 4.
Live Recordings
The 12 new recordings are available in various formats, including lossless WAV files, MP3, and FLAC. These recordings were captured during shows across Europe and two stops in Australia, specifically Sydney and Melbourne.
European Shows
The live recordings from the pair’s European shows feature cities like Lisbon, Rennes, Madrid, Barcelona, Paris, Brussels, Dublin, Venice, Lyon, and Krems. This collection adds to previously released recordings from Autechre in 2022, all under the AE_LIVE 2022 name. The earlier sets included cities such as Milan, Athens, and London.
Exclusive Purchase
AE_LIVE 2022 is exclusively available for purchase via Autechre’s store. Fans can buy the collection as a whole or choose to purchase individual recordings. Those who bought Autechre’s previous live recordings collection will receive a discount on their purchase.
Unheard Remix
The release of AE_LIVE 2022 follows an unheard remix from Autechre of Russell Haswell’s ‘Heavy Handed Sunset’. This remix is a rework of another remix by Autechre released in 2016, titled ‘Heavy Handed Sunset (Autechre Conformity Version)’.
Celebratory Mix
Last year, Autechre surprised fans with a 330+ minute mix in celebration of the re-release of their 1992 compilation record, ‘Artificial Intelligence’, via Warp. This mix, spanning 5.5 hours, features nearly 100 different artists who inspired the duo in the early ’90s.
