“We’re excited to host the inaugural Celebration of Black Excellence at The White House. This event is a testament to the continuous efforts of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris to not only remove barriers to opportunities but also to pave the way for greater achievements for Black Americans nationwide. Thanks to the initiatives of the Biden-Harris Administration, Black unemployment has reached historic lows, Black net worth has increased by 60% since the pandemic, and Black entrepreneurs are establishing small businesses at rates unprecedented in the past 30 years,” noted Benjamin.
The ‘Brunch in Celebration of Black Excellence’ follows President Biden’s second Juneteenth celebration in June. Additionally, this event coincides with one of the most anticipated annual events in Washington D.C., the Congressional Black Caucus’ Annual Legislative Conference. The president is also slated to address the CBCF at the 2024 Phoenix Awards Dinner on Saturday, September 14th.
