Just because the Sorting Hat waits for kids to turn 11, doesn’t mean Bonnie Wright has to.
The Harry Potter alum, who famously portrayed Ginny Weasley throughout the franchise’s eight-film run, has already decided which house her 11-month old son would belong to at Hogwarts. In fact, she has sorted her entire family.
“I think my husband is a Hufflepuff,” Wright recently revealed about her partner, Andrew Lococo. She added, “He doesn’t quite understand the importance of being sorted. I’ve placed him in Hufflepuff.”
Wright has high hopes that her son will be wearing green robes at 11 years old.

“I thought Elio was a Hufflepuff, but I’m not sure now,” she shared. “I’m hoping he’ll be a Slytherin, but I also can’t project. I’ve got to let him be himself.”
In September 2023, Wright and Lococo welcomed their first child, Elio Ocean Wright Lococo. While still too young for Hogwarts, Wright looks forward to introducing him to the Wizarding World in the coming years.
Wright mentioned, “Starting at 5 years old seems to be a good age to begin reading the books and watching parts of the films. I’m already counting down the four years till then.”
She further added, “I can’t wait, even though I have to. I enjoy reading out loud and listening to audiobooks. Hopefully, he becomes a fan too.”

“As a fan, I hope the TV series includes more of the world we love,” Wright expressed. “With TV shows, there’s more time compared to movies. I look forward to seeing parts from the books that didn’t make it into the films due to time constraints.”
Wright has previously shared her disappointment with Ginny’s portrayal in the movies.
“Many character scenes were cut down from the book to the film,” she explained in a 2023 interview. “This limitation sometimes didn’t allow the full character development to come through, leading to feelings of frustration and anxiety.”
