Halestorm’s latest achievement marks their seventh No. 1 on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, the first since “The Steeple” topped the chart in June 2022. This ties them with The Pretty Reckless for the most No. 1 hits by women or women-fronted acts in the chart’s history.
I Prevail has secured their third No. 1 spot with “Can U See Me in the Dark?”, the first since “Bad Things” in November 2022.
“Can U See Me in the Dark?” is a unique collaboration as it marks the first time two multi-person entities, Halestorm as a four-piece band and I Prevail as a quintet, have reached No. 1 on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart since Metallica and the San Francisco Symphony with “All Within My Hands” in September 2020.
The song has also made significant progress on the all-rock-format Rock & Alternative Airplay chart, moving from 10 to 9 with 2.7 million audience impressions, a 15% increase, in the week ending Sept. 19. This achievement marks I Prevail’s highest-charting song, surpassing “Bad Things”, while Halestorm’s best remains “The Steeple” at No. 8.
“Can U See Me in the Dark?” is currently a standalone single that was part of the bands’ co-headlining tour from July to mid-August. Halestorm’s album “Back From the Dead” peaked at No. 2 on the Top Hard Rock Albums chart in May 2022, earning 97,000 equivalent album units. I Prevail’s latest LP, “True Power”, reached No. 3 on the same chart in September 2022, accumulating 258,000 units.
