The screening of “Interstella 5555” on September 30th at the United Theater marks the beginning of HEARTCOMIX’s 20th-anniversary celebrations and provides a rare opportunity to experience the film in theaters. Originally released in May 2003 as a visual accompaniment to Daft Punk’s second album, “Discovery,” the film was co-created with Hervet, director Kazuhisa Takenouchi, and the late anime legend Leiji Matsumoto.
The new version of the film has been remastered in 4K and offers the exclusive experience of hearing “Discovery” in Dolby 5.1 Surround sound, as stated in a press release shared with EDM.com.
