Diddy’s Lawyers: Tapes Show Consensual Sex

Published:

Diddy’s attorneys argue that the alleged tapes being used as evidence by the government show consensual sex.

Diddy’s Legal Team Challenges Alleged Tapes

Recently, Diddy’s legal team filed a motion in his criminal case seeking electronic access to the tapes in question. Currently, these tapes are only available for defense inspection due to a protective order. The team claims that the tapes actually support Diddy’s innocence.

In a statement, Diddy’s lawyers stated, “The nine videos in question are the so-called ‘Freak Off’ tapes involving Victim-I, causing speculation in the media. Victim 1, identified as Cassie Ventura, engaged in private sexual activities with Diddy, showing consent and enjoyment.”

They further explained, “These videos clearly demonstrate that the person referred to as ‘Victim-I’ not only consented but also enjoyed the encounters.” However, they clarified that not all encounters between the two were consensual.

Diddy’s legal team emphasized that the tapes were voluntarily provided by Cassie and were not seized during any raid on Diddy’s properties or devices. This refutes claims that Diddy held the tapes as collateral.

Additionally, Diddy’s lawyers have attempted to portray evidence involving Cassie as domestic disputes, accusing the government of editing a video showing an alleged assault on Cassie back in 2016.

XXL has reached out to Cassie’s legal team for their response.
