Following Mal’s claims, Elliott Wilson, the Editorial Director of Hip Hop Journalism at UPROXX Studios, confirmed that Drake has turned down the Super Bowl halftime slot at least twice. Wilson disclosed that Drake was offered the opportunity to perform at the Super Bowl in Miami in 2020 and again in Tampa in 2021.

Additionally, Peter Rosenberg claimed that Drake has been offered the Super Bowl spot as many as 12 times, further solidifying the reports of Drake’s consistent refusal.

Despite the repeated offers, Drake has remained steadfast in his decision to decline the Super Bowl performances. This news comes in light of Kendrick Lamar being selected to headline the 2025 Super Bowl in New Orleans, sparking interest due to the ongoing feud between Kendrick and Drake in 2024.
