Drake is set to make a triumphant return to Australia and New Zealand in early 2025 with his upcoming The Anita Max Win Tour.
Tour Details
On Thursday, November 28, the Canadian superstar unveiled the tour dates, marking his first visit to the region since 2017. The Live Nation-produced tour kicks off with two nights at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on February 9-10 and concludes with consecutive shows at Auckland’s Spark Arena on February 28 and March 1. The seven-date tour will also include stops in Sydney and Brisbane. See the full itinerary below.
Tickets for the tour will be available through various presales starting on Tuesday, December 3, with the general on-sale beginning on December 6 at 12 p.m. local time.
Tour Inspiration
The Anita Max Win Tour is named after a viral moment from Drake’s December 2023 livestream on Kick, where he introduced his new “alter ego” Anita Max Win. The name is a playful nod to the gambling expression “I need a max win,” referencing hitting the maximum payout on a slot machine.
Drake teased the tour on November 24 during a livestream with gaming streamer xQc, announcing his return to Australia for the first time in eight years. This tour will be a major comeback for his Australian and New Zealand fans who last saw him during the Boy Meets World Tour in 2017.
Collaborative Album
In August, Drake announced his upcoming collaborative album with PARTYNEXTDOOR. PND shared exciting news about the joint project on Instagram, hinting at its completion after one final show on the tour.
Upcoming Events
Drake’s tour announcement coincides with Kendrick Lamar’s highly anticipated Super Bowl Halftime Show performance on February 9, sparking excitement among fans. The two rappers have been engaged in a publicized rivalry, adding to the anticipation of their upcoming events.
