The new track showcases a cosmic club vibe that has become a signature sound in Azzecca’s live performances as a producer and DJ based in Chicago.

‘IDK’ is a five-minute track that expertly blends a powerful kick and relentless bass synth with a breaks-inspired rhythm and spaced-out special effects. The distorted, echoing vocals tie everything together, creating a celestial and summer-infused musical experience.
Azzecca’s Inspiration for ‘IDK’
Azzecca shares the inspiration behind ‘IDK’ in an interview with Mixmag, stating, “The idea for ‘IDK’ came to me one night while I was listening to music at home. The original 702 track played randomly and I knew it was the perfect vocal sample to use. I wanted to create something cosmic and groovy, and the track came together quickly. After testing it out during summer performances and preparing for the release, I felt it was missing something, so I added the acid lead that enhances the drops. It was the perfect final touch, and I’m thrilled to share this track with everyone.”
Cosimea Launch and Future Plans
Alongside the release of ‘IDK’, Azzecca is introducing her party brand, Cosimea, which aims to highlight a “slightly left of centre, cosmic vibe” and explore forward-thinking club sounds. This initiative builds on Azzecca’s commitment to promoting women’s safety in the nightlife scene, as seen in her previous event series Dirty Disco. Cosimea’s debut event is scheduled for August 30 at Smartbar, serving as an afterparty for ARC Music Festival in Chicago.
Azzecca explains her transition from Dirty Disco to Cosimea, stating, “While I owned the Dirty Disco name and trademark, a collective in Texas requested to use it. Out of respect for queer spaces in dance music, I gladly handed over the trademark. Looking ahead, I’m excited about the future and the opportunity to expand the Azzecca brand with Cosimea, which will evolve beyond just an event series.”
