Get ready to be drawn into the eerie world of Mr. Crocket, the protagonist of the upcoming horror film. The film features Elvis Nolasco in the lead role, with the story unfolding under the direction of the promising talent, Brandon Espy. The script, penned by Espy and Carl Reid, is based on the 2022 short film of the same name, which was also written and directed by Espy as part of Hulu’s Bite Size Halloween series.
VIBE provides an exclusive glimpse into Mr. Crocket’s sinister plan in the clip above, where he ominously threatens his pursuer.
“Greetings! I’ve noticed you’ve been searching for me. Well, look no further, here I am! Why not come a bit closer and say hello?” Mr. Crocket teases the character Summer, played by Jerrika Hinton, before chillingly cautioning her to abandon her mission or face eternal damnation alongside her spouse.
The film’s cast includes Nolasco and Hinton, along with Ayden Gavin, Kristolyn Lloyd, and Alex Akpobome. Mr. Crocket features on WorthenBrooks’ debut horror lineup with Hulu Originals. The film was developed by WorthenBrooks, with David Brooks, Arbi Pedrossian, Jenna Cavelle, and Carl Reid taking on the role of primary producers. Miles Alva is the executive producer, with Sean King O’Grady, Josh Feldman, and Jesse Ford co-producing.
Here’s the official synopsis of the film:
“In 1993, a mysterious children’s show host, Mr. Crocket, magically appears from televisions to abduct young children, while brutally murdering their parents. After her son is taken by Mr. Crocket, a determined mother embarks on a dangerous mission to track down the demonic entertainer and save her child.”
