J.B. Smoove's Pee-Tasting 'SNL' Sketch

J.B. Smoove shares his dream of hosting Saturday Night Live with a musical monologue featuring all his rejected sketch ideas.

On a podcast episode with Kelly Ripa, Smoove reveals his quirky sketch idea “Urine Detective” meant for Johnny Knoxville.

Knoxville, known for his crazy stunts, was set to taste urine samples to solve crimes in the sketch.

Smoove also had ideas of a couple mistaking everyday sounds for helicopter blades, a concept that never made it to air.

Despite not getting on the SNL cast in 2003, Smoove wrote for the show and even pitched sketches, landing uncredited roles.

Smoove recalls his journey to SNL auditions, making it to the final three alongside Finesse Mitchell and Kenan Thompson.

Thompson and Mitchell were chosen, but Smoove found success in writing for the show and later on Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Smoove reveals his desire to create a show featuring his old sketch ideas and reminisces about his time on SNL and Curb.
