A woman has come forward accusing Jay-Z and Diddy of raping her when she was 13 years old in 2000. In her first tell-all interview, she admits to some inconsistencies in her story.
Woman Claims Jay-Z and Diddy Raped Her in First Interview
The recent headlines have been dominated by allegations that Jay-Z and Diddy allegedly raped a 13-year-old girl back in 2000. NBC News aired an interview with the woman behind the claims, who initially filed a lawsuit against Diddy in October, later adding allegations against Jay-Z on Dec. 8.
During the interview, the woman recounted the events of the night of the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards, where she claimed the assault took place. However, discrepancies in her story became apparent.
The woman, now 38 and from Alabama, emphasized the importance of advocating for oneself but chose to remain anonymous.
She detailed being driven from Rochester, N.Y., to New York City for the MTV Video Music Awards by a now-deceased friend. Outside the venue, she alleged that Diddy’s limo driver offered her a ride to an after-party where she interacted with Good Charlotte members Benji and Joel Madden. However, a representative for the Maddens confirmed they were on tour in the Midwest at the time and did not attend the VMAs.
At the after-party, the woman claimed she was raped by both Jay-Z and Diddy after being given a drink that made her feel “woozy.” She also stated that her father picked her up after the incident, but her father had no recollection of the events and could not corroborate her claims. Despite inconsistencies, the woman maintains that she was assaulted.
When confronted with the contradictions, the woman admitted to “some mistakes” in her recollection but stood by her assertion of being raped.
Following the woman’s interview, Jay-Z released a statement denouncing the accusations as a ploy for money and fame. He countersued the lawyer, Tony Buzbee, for extortion. Diddy’s legal team also dismissed the claims, citing multiple false allegations made by other individuals represented by Buzbee.
As the situation unfolds, XXL has reached out to Tony Buzbee for comment.
