Carl Cox is no longer on the bill for this year’s Movement Festival, postponing his headline set to 2026. Announcing the news on Instagram yesterday, February 20, Cox told fans that he would no longer bring his new hybrid live show to the Detroit festival due to “scheduling complications”.
“I regret to inform you that due to scheduling complications, my show at Movement has been postponed to 2026,” he announced. “I’m sorry for any convenience this may cause.” Cox apologized to fans, promising to return next year with a “full live show experience”. “I promise to make it worth the wait,” he said. “It’s going to be epic! See you all in 2026 for an unforgettable show!”
Movement Festival Lineup Changes
Following the announcement of Carl Cox’s postponement, Movement announced that Jeff Mills will take his place in 2025. He’s due to headline the festival on Saturday, May 24. Jeff Mills will join previously announced headliners Charlotte de Witte and John Summit across the weekender, taking place from May 24 – 26 at Hart Plaza in Detroit.
“To be able to play in Detroit is and has always been a special kind of magic,” Jeff Mills said following news of his return. “It’s one of the few places in the world where anything could happen because of a higher premium of music ‘sense’ most people have.”
