Netflix is serving up a bountiful cornucopia of offerings just in time for Thanksgiving season.
In addition to new episodes of hit shows like Outer Banks and Cobra Kai, a wide swath of new movies are hitting the platform in November, from the art house musical Emilia Pérez, to the Denzel Washington-produced stage adaptation The Piano Lesson, to the enchanting animated family film Spellbound.
For the pogues and kooks who’ve already torn through the first half of the new season of Outer Banks, season 4 part 2 is on its way. Catch up with John B, JJ, Kiara, and the rest as they figure out just what’s waiting for them in Charleston. Cobra Kai debuts the second of its three-part final season in November, which means fans will finally see the consequences of Tory’s (Peyton List) shocking decision to defect to Cobra Kai and arriving at the Sekai Taikai tournament.

After Washington brought August Wilson’s award-winning play Fences to the screen to much fanfare in 2016, Netflix greenlit an adaptation of The Piano Lesson, produced by the Oscar winner, and starring his son John David Washington, as well as Samuel L. Jackson and Danielle Deadwyler. Chugging along the same prestige track is Emilia Pérez, the buzzy new film from French auteur Jacques Audiard. The transgender cartel musical brought home a joint Best Actress prize at the Cannes Film Festival this May for Karla Sofía Gascón, Zoe Saldaña, Selena Gomez, and Adriana Paz.
If you’re in the mood for lighter fare, you can catch the first four films in Netflix’s Christmas movie slate this month. It all kicks off with the one-crazy-night-style Meet Me Next Christmas, starring Christina Milian, and winds like garland through the supernaturally-spiced Hot Frosty, starring Lacey Chabert and Dustin Milligan, into the Magic Mike-esque The Merry Gentlemen, starring Britt Robertson and Chad Michael Murray, before finally settling on Lindsay Lohan’s Our Little Secret.
There are also documentaries like Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenét Ramsey, Return of the King: The Fall and Rise of Elvis Presley, plane crash survival doc The Lost Children, and The Mother of Penguins, narrated by Barack Obama. For the animation-inclined there’s Barbie Mysteries: The Great Horse Chase and two animes, the hacker thriller Tokyo Override and Mononoke the Movie: Phantom in the Rain, which is based on the original Mononoke series.
