Details of Kid Cudi’s car being set on fire have been confirmed by a Los Angeles City Fire Department arson report.
Arson Report Reveals Details of Kid Cudi’s Car Fire
A Rolling Stone report published on Friday (Sept. 27) revealed that Kid Cudi’s Porsche vehicle was set on fire by an “incendiary device” at the rapper’s Los Angeles home on Jan. 9, 2012. The arson report from the Los Angeles City Fire Department, cited by the publication, indicated that the car fire started at 10:53 a.m., resulting in an estimated $10,000 in damages.
The report classified the alleged arson as “intentional,” with no suspects identified. Rolling Stone also mentioned that a fire was reported to the fire department in 2012, and a woman at the home spoke with fire officials.

New York Prosecutors Detail Cudi’s Car Bombing Incident in Letter to Judge
New York prosecutors submitted a letter on Sept. 17 requesting that Diddy remain in jail until his trial. The letter, obtained by XXL, outlined an alleged incident where Diddy’s associates are accused of cutting open the top of “Individual-1″‘s convertible and placing a Molotov cocktail inside, setting the car on fire. Police and fire department reports documented the arson and concluded that it was deliberately set. Prosecutors stated that multiple witnesses will testify to Diddy allegedly boasting about his involvement in destroying Individual-1’s car.
This incident bears similarities to Cassie Ventura’s 2023 civil lawsuit, where she claimed that Diddy orchestrated the arson of Cudi’s vehicle during their brief relationship after she ended things with the rap mogul. In a statement to The New York Times in November, Cudi confirmed Cassie’s account, acknowledging that his car did indeed explode. “This is all true,” he affirmed.
In a statement to Rolling Stone, Diddy’s attorney, Marc Agnifilo, refuted any involvement by his client in the alleged arson plot.
“There is no allegation that Mr. Combs was involved in these actions or directed anyone else to carry them out,” he stated. “It is evident that the government does not know who set fire to the vehicle or how it is connected to Mr. Combs, who denies any participation.”
