Originally previewed on A COLORS SHOW, ‘Rare Baby’ is heavily influenced by KUKII’s Egyptian-Iranian background.

Debut Release Under New Alias

This track marks KUKII’s debut under her new moniker, which she officially adopted in June of this year. Taking to Instagram to make the announcement, she declared, “Call her by her new name. KUKII. The new adventure starts here.”

Exploring Mahraganat

The newly launched project will see KUKII exploring music inspired by Mahraganat, a popular electronic genre in Cairo that has recently faced scrutiny from the Egyptian government.

Transition from Lafawndah

Previously known as Lafawndah, the Paris-based artist was recognized for her experimental pop style, releasing music through labels like Warp, !K7, and Latency.
