MLS Relocates Production Studio to WWE Headquarters

As part of an extended agreement with IMG, Major League Soccer (MLS) will be relocating its production arm to the new studios at the WWE headquarters in Stamford, Conn.

The terms of the renewed multi-year partnership will see IMG continuing to produce live match and studio productions for over 600 annual games on the MLS Season Pass on Apple TV. This move to the Stamford Studios at WWE will allow MLS Productions to create more programming for the upcoming season. The new facility will serve as the central hub for MLS live studio programming and content in both English and Spanish languages.

The WWE studio is a part of the TKO Group Holdings portfolio. The group has recently agreed to an acquisition of IMG from Endeavor, a transaction that is expected to be finalized in the first half of 2025.

Seth Bacon, MLS’s executive vice president of media, expressed his excitement about the partnership with IMG in a statement. He said, “With the incredible momentum and excitement around the league, we are thrilled to further our partnership with IMG to support our vision of elevating production, creating new viewing opportunities, and pushing the sports broadcast landscape into the future.”

The Studios at WWE is a massive 30,000 square feet production facility equipped with five studios, offering a broad range of production amenities.

MLS and Apple launched their MLS Season Pass on Apple TV in 2023. IMG is known for creating content for several sporting events and leagues, including the Premier League, English Football League, Saudi Pro League, CBS’ UEFA Champions League and Europa League coverage, UFC, DP World Tour, The Ryder Cup, and The Open Championship, among others.
