Megan Thee Stallion and RM are joining forces for a new song titled “Neva Play.” The Houston rapper announced their collaborative single on Sunday, set to release on Sept. 6.
“NEVA PLAY WITH RM OUT FRIDAY HOTTIES X ARMY,” she wrote on Instagram, along with the hashtag #MEGJOON and the single’s cover art. The cover depicts Megan with blue hair holding fanned-out cash, while RM looks over his shoulder behind her.
In the caption, Megan added, “ps. This is one of my favorite RM verses I’ve heard! I’ve never heard him rap in this style before.” BTS’ official X (formerly Twitter) account also shared the cover art, announcing the song’s release on Sep 6 at 1PM (KST) | 0AM (ET).
Megan and BTS began teasing the collaboration last week, with Megan tweeting a series of emojis on Thursday that included a stallion horse and a purple heart, hinting at BTS. On Friday, BTS confirmed the news by retweeting Megan’s post and stating “Coming Soon!”
Previously, Megan teamed up with BTS in the summer of 2021 for a remix of the megahit “Butter,” and later joined the boy band in the fall to perform it live for the first time in Los Angeles at SoFi Stadium.
