The 2024 New York Game Awards are here, and in addition to honoring Remedy Entertainment imaginative director Sam Lake, Astro Bot was the large winner of the night, winning Game of the Year, Best Music, and Best Children’s Game.
While Astro Bot led with three wins, many other amazing games and people were honored in the remaining 10 categories, including Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. The highly praised Elden Ring DLC ​​was the only game to win multiple awards, winning in the Best World and Best DLC categories.
Other highlights include Simone De Rochefort and Clayton Ashley winning the Knickerbocker Award for Best Game Journalism (the same award won by IGN’s Rebekah Valentine in 2022!) for their work on The Big Game: Spycraft Creation, Troy Baker won Best Game Actor for his role as Indiana Jones in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and the UFO 50 Award for Best Independent Game.
