During her chat with Variety, Nikki expressed her excitement about poking fun at the movie “Wicked,” likening it to Taylor‘s epic Eras Tour.
“It has that Eras Tour energy,” she explained. “I want to show reverence to the fandom and not disrespect it, because as a Swiftie, there is no joke about Taylor Swift that I find acceptable. I understand the passion of those who love ‘Wicked’ so deeply. But it’s great to have ‘Wicked’ because it’s a movie everyone has seen.”
Nikki also mentioned that she had watched “Conclave” multiple times, praising Ralph Fiennes for his stellar acting skills.
“I dozed off quite a bit during the first viewing — it’s a dark, slow film — but it’s one of my all-time favorites,” she shared.
However, Nikki observed that many people were unfamiliar with some of the other movies in contention for awards.
“I watched ‘Emilia Pérez’ — I couldn’t even figure out what I was watching. Then someone mentioned that it’s a French film. And I thought, ‘Ah, okay. This reminds me of the Paris opening ceremony,’” she joked. “It’s a fun one because there’s a lot to work with. Firstly, not many have seen it. And then, due to the subject matter — there are certain topics that culturally, we’ve collectively decided not to joke about. It’s delicate. So, it’s a challenging one, but not insurmountable: I’m up for it.”

“I’ve been mentioning ‘A Complete Unknown.’ People are like, ‘Huh?’ Or ‘Nightbitch.’ People ask, ‘What’s that?’ It’s quite surprising. Viewers at home might not be familiar with these films, so I’ll have to provide a brief synopsis,” Nikki noted.
As a devoted Swiftie, Nikki was asked if she’d be poking fun at Taylor, to which she replied, “Only in a positive light.”
