The National Independent Venue Association (NIVA) has launched The State of Live, a national economic research study of the independent live entertainment sector. This initiative aims to evaluate the economic contributions and operational challenges faced by independent venues, promoters, performing arts centers, and festivals across the United States. The survey, open from Jan. 7 to Feb. 18, invites participation from entities of all sizes, tax statuses, and locations within the industry. The collected data will be used to create a national report and 50 state-by-state reports, scheduled for release on June 23.
