Grand Prize Winner

“Four years ago, this set won the Grand Prize in the global LEGO competition Music To Our Ears!, though it wasn’t selected to become an official set,” Harboun wrote in the design’s description.

Daft Punk LEGO Debut

“But now we’re feeling inspired to ‘Get Lucky’ and try ‘One More Time’ after seeing the Daft Punk making their LEGO debut in the upcoming film Piece By Piece, robot-rocking their amazing helmets alongside Pharrell Williams.”

Inspired Design

The set is inspired by the duo’s famous ‘Alive’ concert, recorded at the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy arena in Paris in 2007, and features a recreation of the legendary pyramid-shaped stage design.

Lockdown Project

The project first began in 2020 as a “fun father-son collaboration”, Harboun explains, which grew into “something epic as we found ourselves needing a creative escape during lockdown.”

Creative Fusion

“Both huge Daft Punk fans, this build is a fusion of two passions. I spent my teenage years listening to ‘Homework’ on my Walkman, while my son’s first favorite baby song was ‘Get Lucky’,” he says.

Impressive Features

The design features 2,000 pieces, and uses a “rotating box of transparent bricks inside the pyramid” powered by a motor with a set of lights inside to create the color-changing stage design. “LEGO bricks are rarely used for triangular shapes, so we had to find creative ways to make all those angles click,” he said.

Show Your Love

“If you love Daft Punk and LEGO as much as we do, show us some ‘Digital Love’ by voting to make this set a reality!”
