In “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes,” a brand new tyrannical ape chief threatens the stability between apes and people in a future the place apes dominate and people are in the shadows. Directed by Wes Ball, the film follows a younger ape on a journey that challenges his beliefs about the previous and shapes the future for each species. The movie stars Owen Teague, Freya Allan, Kevin Durand, Peter Macon, and William H. Macy, and might be streaming on Hulu on August 2. The screenplay is by Josh Friedman, Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, and Patrick Aison, with a star-studded manufacturing staff behind the scenes.
