Post Malone has achieved his second Country Airplay top 10 with “Pour Me a Drink,” following the success of “I Had Some Help” featuring Morgan Wallen, which topped the charts for four weeks starting in June. Both tracks are part of his debut country album, F-1 Trillion, which debuted at No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart and the Billboard 200, earning 250,000 equivalent album units in the US. This marked the second-highest week for a country album this year, trailing only Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter,” which debuted with 407,000 units in April.
Blake Shelton has secured his 36th Country Airplay top 10 with “Pour Me a Drink,” his first since “Minimum Wage” reached No. 9 in June 2021. He now ties with Reba McEntire for the ninth-most top 10 hits on the chart. Kenny Chesney and George Strait lead all acts with 61 top 10 hits each since the chart’s inception in 1990, followed closely by Tim McGraw with 60.
Post Malone currently has two songs in the Country Airplay top 10, with “I Had Some Help” holding steady at No. 2 with 28.1 million in audience impressions. Additionally, his latest single from F-1 Trillion, “Guy for That” featuring Luke Combs, is at No. 41 with 2.6 million impressions.
Shaboozey Cracks Open Six-Pack
Shaboozey continues to dominate the Country Airplay chart for a sixth consecutive week with “A Bar Song (Tipsy).” The track reached 28.8 million listeners, a slight decrease of 3%, making it only the second country song to spend six weeks at No. 1 at the start of an artist’s career or with their initial songs promoted to country radio. The first was Carrie Underwood’s “Jesus, Take the Wheel” in 2006.
“A Bar Song (Tipsy)” has also extended its reign on the Billboard Hot 100, claiming the longest run of 2024 with seven weeks at No. 1, surpassing Post Malone’s “I Had Some Help.” Additionally, the track has spent 11 weeks at No. 1 on the Hot Country Songs chart, surpassing Beyoncé’s “Texas Hold ‘Em” with 10 weeks at the top earlier this year.
All charts dated Sept. 7 will be updated on Billboard.com on Wednesday, Sept. 4, a day later than usual due to the Labor Day holiday on Sept. 2.
