Eminem’s Thoughts on a Joint Album with 50 Cent
During a recent appearance on DJ Whoo Kid’s Whoo’s House Podcast to celebrate 20 years of Em’s Shade 45 Sirius hip-hop station, Eminem discussed the possibility of working on a collaborative album with 50 Cent.
When asked about the potential project, Eminem responded positively, stating, “That would be great. I think that we gotta stop bullsh*tting and just do it…I would never say it’s not possible.”
It has been several years since 50 Cent released new music, with his last project being the mixtape The Kanan Tape in 2013 and his last album, Animal Ambition, in 2014. In recent years, 50 Cent has shifted his focus to building his film and TV career, including successful series like Power and BMF. Despite his music hiatus, 50 Cent embarked on the massive The Final Lap Tour in 2023.
In a previous interview, 50 Cent revealed that he had proposed a world tour featuring himself, Eminem, and Dr. Dre, which Eminem declined due to personal reasons related to his daughter, Hailie.
Reflecting on the passage of time, 50 Cent shared, “He said, ‘I just don’t want to go and come back and Hailie’s grown.’ I did not know what he meant when he said that to me. I thought he was crazy because I was like, he just don’t want to go. ’Cause I was trying to convince him to go on the tour at that point. And then, I was at Hailie’s wedding. She got married and I’m like, this is what he’s talking about. The time went so fast that we watched her get married.”
Despite his limited public appearances, Eminem has released four albums in the same time frame. His 2024 album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), was a commercial success and received a Best Rap Album nomination at the 2025 Grammy Awards.
