Quando Rondo Opens Up in New Interview
During DJ Akademiks’ Off the Record podcast on Monday (Nov. 11), Quando Rondo discussed new music, navigating his legal issues, and more. He also briefly touched on his friendship with Top.
“A n*gga f**k with YB,” Quando stated at the 15:21 timestamp of the video below. “I love YB. You know YB love me and f**k with me. I know you a fan of YB. It’s nothing to explain. Pure love. I don’t know what else to explain to you.”
While Quando Rondo is still under NBA YoungBoy’s Never Broke Again record label, there have been questions about the current status of their relationship. YB expressed disapproval about their joint mixtape 3860 being released in 2022. However, he was the sole feature on Quando’s 2023 album Recovery. In an interview with XXL last April, Quando discussed how he draws motivation from his label boss, despite YB facing his own legal issues.

Following his guilty plea to federal drug trafficking charges in August, Quando Rondo is awaiting sentencing. Despite this, he is gearing up for the release of his new album Here for a Reason, scheduled to drop on Nov. 15. Additionally, he has been linked to a murder-for-hire plot where authorities allege that Lil Durk orchestrated an attempt on Quando’s life in August 2022.
