The Queen of Hell and God himself — they’re a match made in, er, heaven.

Supernatural alums Ruth Connell and Rob Benedict are officially engaged, Entertainment Weekly can confirm. Benedict initially let the news slip on Sunday, when he referred to his longtime partner as “my fiancée” during a panel at the Salute to The Boys convention in New Jersey.

In a new interview with PEOPLE, Benedict opened up about the happy news, revealing that the couple secretly made plans to tie the knot at the start of 2024.

“We got engaged earlier in the year, right before we welcomed our daughter Margaret into the world,” Benedict told the outlet. “The ring was designed by New York designer Sophie Ratner.”

Referring to the daughter and son he shares with ex-wife, Mollie, he noted that the couple have been receiving “a lot of love and support from [his] older children.”

He added, “We are very happy and looking forward to the adventure.”

Representatives for Benedict and Connell declined to comment further.

Benedict, 54, and Connell, 45, both appeared in several seasons of the long-running CW series, as characters who were both friend and foe to monster-hunting brotherly duo, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles).

Connell spent six seasons as Rowena MacLeod, a witch and the mother of Mark Sheppard’s Crowley, who was eventually crowned the Queen of Hell. Benedict recurred throughout the series’ 15-season-run as Chuck Shurley, a prophet later revealed to be God in disguise. The pair would eventually cross paths when Benedict returned to the show in season 11.

Their engagement news continues a year of milestones for the couple, who welcomed their daughter, Margaret Vivian, on Jan. 12. A month later, Connell announced the news on Instagram, sharing photos of the newborn’s tiny feet and hands with the caption, “4 weeks old today … The most ecstatic moment of my life was hearing Margaret Vivian Benedict’s healthy cry upon delivery … 01.12.24. In love. Much longed for.”

She added, “Thank you @robenedict I love you, Calvin and Audrey, to all our friends and family – near and far – and to all the lovely people on here who have been so supportive.”

Benedict and Connell are not the only actors to find love within the extended Supernatural family. Padalecki met wife Genevieve on set in 2008, when she joined the fourth season as the demon, Ruby. Though her tenure on the show lasted a single season (and two future cameos), the couple tied the knot in 2010 and later shared the screen again for Padalecki’s CW series, Walker.

2024 previously brought another Supernatural romance to fans’ attention, when actors DJ Qualls and Ty Olsson — who starred as Garth and Benny respectively — announced their engagement. Though they never crossed paths onscreen, the couple met at a fan convention for the show and quickly became inseparable.

“Over the last 10 years, our relationship evolved to what it is today, and now we’re getting married,” Qualls said in May on his Locked and Probably Loaded podcast with Kelly Blackheart. “We are going to be old men together, which is crazy. He’s the best!”
