Five Years of Faith Beat Imprint

Landing as the Detroit-raised, Berlin-based celebrates five years of his carefully-curated Faith Beat imprint, its 34 tracks spotlight local house and techno scenes in the US and their breaking emerging artists; 80% of the tunes are from upcoming musicians from the Midwest and beyond. Its aim, its press release writes, is the “counter the scene’s contemporary Eurocentricity”.

First Single Release

To accompany the announcement, its first single has been shared, too. ‘I-75’ is an addictive cut from Detroit-based artist AK, which you can check out here.

Intention Behind the Body of Work

“I’ve wanted to do a project like this for a while now,” Elliot explains on the intention behind the body of work. “I’ve always felt that the US take on house music is very different than in Europe. Mainly because the country is so vast, the scenes can be seen like various pockets, like there’s DC, New York, Detroit, and theres such a large physical distance between those places; I’ve wanted try and showcase all of that.

“I started asking around couple years ago and thought that there’s just so much emerging U.S. talent that isn’t really getting, what I feel, is proper recognition worldwide. I just want to do my little part to help give these great artists some more exposure.”

Pre-Order and Release Information

You can pre-order ‘Have Faith’ compilation and DJ mix now here ahead of its release on November 15, and check out ‘I-75’ by AK whilst you’re at it.
