A recent announcement stated that after performing his original songs in intimate venues during two world tours, Al will return to amphitheaters with a full multi-media production after six years. This time, he will be playing his iconic hits along with some fan favorites that have never been performed live. With a giant video wall, multiple costume changes, and an eight-piece ensemble featuring Al’s original band, Weird Al is set to deliver an unforgettable concert experience.
In a statement, the 64-year-old Al expressed his excitement for the upcoming tour, describing it as a blend of crowd-pleasing parodies and deep cuts for hardcore fans. With an expanded stage setup and twice as many musicians, Al promises a concert experience that sounds twice as good. Joining him on tour as the opening act is the sad clown crooner Puddles Pity Party, with tickets going on sale at 10 a.m. local time on Friday, September 27.
Earlier this year, Yankovic celebrated the 10th anniversary of his 14th studio album, Mandatory Fun, which became his first LP to top the Billboard 200 album chart. In July, he released his first new song in a decade, “Polkamania!,” a lively polka medley featuring snippets of songs by popular artists like Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, and Lil Nas X.
