Green Day Collaborates with Wheels For Wishes to Make Dreams Come True
Green Day is teaming up with Wheels For Wishes to make wishes come true for children in need. The charitable organization, known for raising money through the donation of used vehicles, has joined forces with Green Day on their Saviors stadium tour. They have announced a sweepstakes where participants have the chance to win the 1968 Mercury Monterey convertible featured in the band’s iconic music videos for “Holiday” and “Boulevard of Broken Dreams.”
Granting Wishes with Green Day’s Generosity
Thanks to Green Day’s generosity, Wheels For Wishes will be able to grant hundreds of new wishes through Make-A-Wish chapters nationwide. Randy Heiligman, co-founder/CEO of National Fundraising Management, expressed gratitude towards Green Day and Propeller for their support in raising awareness for the sweepstakes and donating the 1968 Mercury Monterey Convertible to help Make-A-Wish kids.
Partnership with Propeller and Impact on Make-A-Wish Kids
Wheels For Wishes has partnered with social impact group Propeller for this sweepstakes, marking the second collaboration between the band and the organization. Since July 2024, Wheels For Wishes has donated over $114 million to Make-A-Wish kids, resulting in 13,672 wishes granted. The custom features of the car, including upholstery, shift knobs, and interior details, along with the iconic heart-grenade hood ornament and custom BRKN DRM vanity plates, make it a prized possession.
