Bryan had hinted at the track back in January 2024 on social media, suggesting that it may not be related to his recent breakup with Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia. Instead, “This World’s a Giant” showcases Bryan’s quest for moments of peace amidst the chaos of daily life.

“In this house, guitars are playing from the top floor where I find solace,” he sings. “Be still, be quiet, this world’s a giant that I don’t want to confront tonight.”

Despite his decision to take a social media break, the current Rolling Stone cover star teased another new song, possibly titled “Motorbreath,” set to be released on November 8.

Both tracks come in the aftermath of his breakup with LaPaglia, as her podcast co-hosts Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards dropped a diss track and music video called “Smallest Man” aimed at Bryan. The song criticized Bryan’s alleged actions during his relationship with LaPaglia.

Following its release, the music video faced a brief removal from YouTube and Instagram due to a copyright claim from Warner Music Group (Bryan’s label). Although Portnoy blamed Bryan for the takedown, the video was later reinstated with the infringing part removed.
